Liberty-Eylau Board of Trustees seeking applicants for open seat after Christina Walker resignation

The Liberty-Eylau Board of Trustees announced the resignation of Christina Walker whose husband sadly passed away on May 13.

The resignation is effective June 30, and the Board is seeking a person to fill the unexpired term.

In accordance with BBC Legal the Liberty-Eylau Board of Trustees may fill a vacancy on the board by appointment. Appointed members serve until the next scheduled board election. Board Member Christina Walker has resigned her position effective June 30. The Board will accept letters of interest from qualified candidates in accordance with policy BBA. Letters of interest should be addressed to Chad Turner-President Liberty-Eylau ISD Board of Trustees. Letters may be mailed or delivered by hand to 2901 Leopard Drive. Texarkana, TX 75501. All letters must be submitted by June 19 at 4:00 PM. No letters that arrive after the deadline will be considered. Any candidate appointed by the board will serve until the board election in May 2020.
